Easy Chicken and Spinach Pasta Alfredo
This creamy pasta dish is so tasty you would think it was from a fancy Italian restaurant. Not only is it delectably creamy and delicious, but it’s also a breeze to make. This pasta recipe calls for easy-to-find ingredients like pre cooked chicken, pasta parmesan cheese. Whip it up in under 20 minutes and enjoy!
- 6 oz Fettucine, Reginette(Mafaldine) or other Pasta (reserve ¾ cup pasta water)
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- ½ Yellow onion, diced
- 2 Garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup Heavy cream
- ¾ cup Reserved pasta water
- 5 oz Fresh parmesan cheese, grated + more for topping
- 1 cup Fresh spinach
- 1 cup Red papper flakes
- 1 ½ cups Pre-cooked grilled chicken
- 1 Salt, to taste
- 1 Pepper, to taste
Measure out Ingredients.
Cook pasta until al dente (8-10 Minutes depending on type of pasta). Reserving ¾ of the pasta water. Set pasta aside.
Add oil to your skillet and sauté onions and garlic until onions are translucent and garlic is fragrant.
Pour in cream, pasta water and grated parmesan cheese. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes until sauce begins to thicken.
Add spinach, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.
Add the pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Sauce will begin to thicken. Continue to heat on low.
Stir in chicken and toss with pasta and sauce.
